The Data ACQuisition SystemTM
GDPR

1. What is GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is an EU regulation that aims to provide control of personal data to residents of the European Union. GDPR gives EU residents greater control over how their personal data is used, processed, and disposed of.

Under GDPR, there are three categories that people interacting with data typically fall into:

Data Subject:
The Participants who submits their responses to Evaluations within the DACQS platform.

Data Controller:
The Client who creates and/or administrates the Evaluations using the DACQS platform.

Data Processor:
DACQS processes the data submitted in the Evaluations created by the Client.

2. How does DACQS comply with GDPR?

2.1. IP Address Usage

DACQS only gathers IP addresses for the use of system logs and error reporting within the DACQS platform; avoiding unnecessarily collecting personally identifiable information. The IP address of Clients and non-anonymous Participants may be gathered for these purposes. The IP address for anonymous Participants is NOT gathered, making the anonymous features of the DACQS platform truly anonymous.

2.2. Data Encryption

All data transmission within the DACQS platform is carried out using SSL/TLS encryption.

All Client-specific data and all non-anonymous Participant-specific data is stored with encryption at rest within the DACQS platform. There is no anonymous Participant-specific data stored within the DACQS platform, making the anonymous features of the DACQS platform truly anonymous.

All anonymous and non-anonymous Participant submitted responses to Evaluations within the DACQS platform are stored with encryption at rest.

2.3. Consent and Right to be Informed

Where applicable, Clients are recommended to add an Introduction Screen and/or Radio Button elements within their Evaluations to obtain consent from the Participants when collecting data. Clients can also use Text Block elements to enter descriptive text explaining the purpose for the data they are collecting.

2.4. Right of Access and Data Portability

Participants have the right to request a copy of the data they have submitted to the Client through an Evaluation within the DACQS platform. The Client may export this data directly from the DACQS platform.

If further assistance is needed to complete this request, please email DACQS at privacy@dacqs.com.

2.5. Right to Rectification

Participants have the right to request edits or changes to the data they have submitted to the Client through an Evaluation within the DACQS platform.

If further assistance is needed to complete this request, please email DACQS at privacy@dacqs.com.

2.6. Right to be Forgotten

Participants have the right to request deletion of the data they have submitted to the Client through an Evaluation within the DACQS platform. Although typically not recommended, Clients can delete Participant data within the DACQS platform to complete this request.

If further assistance is needed to complete this request, please email DACQS at privacy@dacqs.com.
